St Ninians is a lay led church, with oversight from the Very Rev Richard Kilgour, Provost of St Andrews Cathedral.
Since August 2001, a team headed up by Capt Gerry Bowyer (Church Army) has led the Church. At that point St Ninians was considering closure, however we now find ourselves giving thanks to the Lord for growth and maturity within our congregation.
We recognise that society has changed and we now aim to develop our mission and evangelism strategies to reach the non-churched population of our city. This is being discovered, and learned about through our Network Groups and involvement with schools and community groups. Another Church Army evangelist Capt Brian Wisener has recently joined the team at St Ninians. Brian is assisting us to explore new ways of forming Christian Community.
Many within the church are involved with our ministry and we actively encourage our folks in their journey of discipleship with Jesus. Integral to our ministry is the belief that Jesus heals today and that the Spiritual gifts are for the building up of the church. If you would like to know more please contact us. |
